Location: Bristol – Flexible hybrid working with site visits across the UK as required
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + bonus (up to 50% of salary paid annually) + benefits

The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will seek to minimise the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support with the tender stage through preparing estimates and costs of the work and Bills of Quantities for contractor tender packs. As the project progresses, you will prepare and execute Small Works Contracts with Sub-Contractors, keep track of any variations to the contract and create reports to show profitability. The role will also include the commercial de-risking of contracts, financial management, negotiation and agreeing contracts.

The Person:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working as a Quantity Surveyor related to grid connections or civil engineering. You will have demonstrated experience of working and interfacing with clients and key stakeholders on multiple projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be highly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. You will have a proactive nature, an initiative-taking approach, and the ability to effectively problem solve. Attention to detail, an eye for accuracy, and strong MS Excel skills are required.
Ideally, you will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Commercial Management or equivalent. A strong understanding of business finances would be highly beneficial.
