Job Description
- Manage and oversee the team, building an open, performance orientated culture
- Ensure materials are procured and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Optimise inventory levels to meet customer demand requirements.
- Implement and maintain effective supply chain strategies.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast needs, and drive efficiencies
- Manage supplier relationships, building trust and performance
- Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics.
- Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Material Controller should have:
- A track record supporting a growing, fast paced, distribution operation
- Experience in a managerial role within the distribution sector, used to working in, and fostering a performance, high energy culture
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Proficient in supply chain software (ERP systems / forecasting tools)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable holding a team to account, whilst energising, motivating, and engaging
