Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our clients school faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in history education, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher to contribute to a vibrant learning environment and help students develop a deep understanding and appreciation of history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging history lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet the needs of all students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to excel.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and enrichment activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
- Foster a love for history and encourage critical thinking, inquiry, and independent research skills among students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field (PGCE or QTS desirable).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Previous experience teaching history at the secondary level is preferred but not required.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
