We are seeking an Assistant Divisional Midwifery and Nursing Director to come and join our compassionate senior leadership team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

You will be supported in your role by the Director of Midwifery/Divisional Nurse Director to achieve your ambitions and excel as a leader.

In this role, you will be a visible and credible clinical leader, promoting compassionate leadership within your areas of responsibility whilst engaging your teams to improve standards of care.

The post holder will deputise for the Director of Midwifery / Divisional Nurse Director when required and support the delivery of the services to achieve consistency of practice, high standards of care and innovation with a strong patient safety focus.

They will work in conjunction with the Divisional Management Team to ensure the delivery and achievement of the Family Care Divisional objectives and contribute to the on-going development of the midwifery and women’s services.

The post holder will:
• Support the Director of Midwifery/Divisional Nurse Director to champion the delivery of excellent care of women, babies and their families providing compassionate leadership, and retaining a focus on engagement and co-production within the services.
• Provide effective leadership within designated areas of responsibility promoting the highest standards of safe, high quality care and an effective learning environment for all staff.
• Ensure a robust professional approach to service development and improvement.
• Work in collaboration with the Director of Midwifery/Divisional Nurse Director and Assistant Divisional Nurse Director and all Divisional colleagues to promote a positive working culture.
• Act as a key member of the Divisional Management Team contributing fully to the development delivery and achievement of all Divisional and speciality objectives.
• Deputise for the Director of Midwifery/Divisional Nurse Director as required.
• Promote best practice and implement innovations in care within all services.
• Participate in a Senior Managers on-call rota tier 1.
