Job description
Attention all experienced International Business Development Managers! An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Partnerships team at Cardfactory. We're on a mission to expand our global reach and provide customers with the cards, gifts and celebration essentials they need, wherever they are in the world.
As a member of our agile, inquisitive and driven team, you'll be responsible for end-to-end delivery of new partners into the business. This includes conducting research, negotiating deals and implementing launches. You'll be working closely with our Head of Business Development to ensure our new partner pipeline strategy is delivered.
This is a role that requires significant internal cross-functional working and influencing across all levels of the business. You'll have Business to business sales experience on a global scale preferably in a retail/CPG environment, be comfortable with working externally with executive level partner teams to understand their customer needs and deliver an appropriate solution. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage and influence across the enterprise, problem-solve our partners' issues and ensure we deliver the best possible customer experience.
Flexibility is required to travel abroad from time to time, as well as being onsite twice a week at our Wakefield head office. If you're ready for a new challenge, we want to hear from you!
Work closely with the Head of business development to implement a strategy for growing new business opportunities with existing and potential new clients
Generate new sustainable and profitable business
Delivering End-to-end new partner pipeline across multiple territories simultaneously
Researching and approaching potential partners using multiple methods
Representing and presenting cardfactory to potential partners at industry events/conferences
Presenting tender pitches to potential partners face to face and virtually
Negotiating commercial deals and contracts
Creating internal business cases for potential new partnerships
Project managing new partner launches with stakeholders across the business
Potential Partners generally at Executive level (external)
Account managers/Finance and legal teams (internal)
Wider cardfactory business colleagues at all levels (internal)
Business to business sales experience on a global scale preferably in a retail/CPG environment
Negotiation experience
Excellent communications skills, with an ability to persuade, inform and negotiate.
Knowledge/Experience of global retail landscape
Must be computer literate to maximise channels to communicate , MS office experience, PowerPoint and Excel (essential)
Self-motivated and results driven.
Ability to work autonomously.
Analytical, with the autonomous initiative to act on findings.
Driving licence is required
Proven experience of strong sales, negotiating and influencing skills are required
Financially literate, must be able to create, review and understand financial models and asses financial reports
