Specialist Occupational Therapist
Location: Alton, Hampshire
Salary: £31,600 - £46,650 pro rata + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full Time / Part Time
The Client:
Our client is a well-established school and college, catering to physically challenged youth, offering extensive therapy services.
The Role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to a dynamic therapy team, providing assessments and interventions for students aged 3 to early 20s.
Duties:
? Manage a caseload of students with complex needs.
? Deliver occupational therapy interventions across various domains.
? Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students.
? Facilitate students engagement in functional activities.
? Advise colleagues, parents, and carers on complex cases.
? Deliver clinical training sessions and contribute to service development projects.
Requirements:
Essential:
? Previously worked as an Occupational Therapist or in a similar role.
? Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
? Experience in paediatrics, neurology, or physical disabilities.
? Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
? Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HPC)
? Valid driving license.
Desirable:
? Skilled in wheelchair and seating assessments
? Experienced in supervising occupational therapy students.
? Previous experience in an educational setting
? Capable of delivering training sessions
