Job description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance sits on the Senior leadership team and is responsible for the overall Finance and Payroll functions.
The Head of Finance will play a critical leadership role in the financial management of the organisation, including overseeing the finance team, developing and implementing financial strategies, managing the company's financial resources, and ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organisation. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record in enhancing financial performance and business growth.
Responsibilities: - Lead the finance department, ensuring the team operates efficiently and aligns with the company's financial strategies and compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute financial policies and strategies to foster business growth, enhance profitability, and meet the organisation's short and long-term financial goals.
- Oversee cash management activities, ensuring optimal cash flow to support business operations and investments.
- Conduct financial forecasting to predict future financial performance, identify potential risks and opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage budgeting processes, including setting budgets, monitoring performance against budgets, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to provide insight into the company's financial status to stakeholders.
- Lead financial risk management efforts, identifying potential financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Oversee the management of the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to ensure a healthy balance and support business growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other key financial partners.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, managing audits and tax planning to minimise liabilities and risks.
