Life as a Warehouse Manager
With a presence in over 17 countries, Medik8 is continuing to further expand in international markets. Supporting an ethos of quality and vigilance across our Manufacturing & Logistics facility is key to driving consumer satisfaction, as we increase our output to support our growth. We are now seeking a highly organised and experienced Warehouse Manager to manage a team of 15 and oversee operations within the warehouse.
This role will report to the Global Logistics Manager and be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all warehousing activities, including inventory management, production and blending stock moves, goods receipt and allocation of staff to support the B2B Dispatch and D2C Managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of operational efficiency and accuracy.
Working closely with our Supply Chain, Production, Quality and Facilities teams, you will help drive outstanding customer service levels by ensuring an effective and organised warehouse at all times.
This role is based on site in our brand new Innovation Centre in Aylesbury (HP22 5WJ) where we have a skincare suited laboratory, modern manufacturing rooms and logistics site. This will be our hub where the best synergies can be created; where we can drive deeper research, boost innovation and maintain exceptional quality levels.
In more detail your role will include:
- Manage, motivate and develop the warehouse team to operational success, in line with agreed KPIs
- Manage the accuracy, availability and efficiency of the stock storage and movements ensuring compliance with both GMP and customer lead times
- Manage the efficient and accurate picking of componentry and raw material availability for production and blending
- Ensure operational costs are minimised and the warehouse functions run to a lean standard
- Ensure the sustainability goals of the company are being developed and met at all times
- Drive a culture of H&S compliance, efficiency and training
- Interact closely with other functions within the business to ensure smooth operational effectiveness
- Monitor, measure and ensure continued high levels of service to the customer through metrics such as packing accuracy etc.
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfilment processes
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce
- Proven track record of implementing and monitoring 5’s lean principles
- Experience of balancing tasks, meeting deadlines and working with precision in a high-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to problem solve and navigate around obstacles
