Job description

We wish to recruit a Trade Counter Sales Person for our Garstang Branch.

Your key responsibilities as Trade Counter Sales Person will include:

* Dealing with all retail and trade sales enquiries

* Identifying and assisting customers with product selection

* Cash handling and the operation of a computerised stock system

* A commitment to high standards of customer service

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Experience of working on a trade counter or customer facing role
• Committed and passionate about providing excellent customer service
• Target driven with a genuine passion for the customer
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a branch team
• Knowledge or a keen interest in building materials, hardware and timber

You will be available to work Saturdays on a rota basis, comfortable in dealing with people and have the ability to work in a busy customer facing role.

Previous experience of providing good customer service and meeting sales targets is essential. Some knowledge of building materials, hardware and timber would be preferable but not crucial as full training will be provided during your induction period.
