The AV Manager will be responsible for supporting the firm's legal professionals in delivering high-quality presentations and external-facing events, virtual meetings, and courtroom technology solutions. This is varied role that would suit an experienced AV professional looking to take the next step in their career, offering opportunities to get involved in key projects and drive the firm's audio and visual capabilities going forward.
Key Responsibilities of the AV Manager: - Set up and operate AV equipment for internal and external meetings, providing support and technical assistance to participants.
- Troubleshooting any issues related to audio, video and connectivity.
- Collaborate with legal teams to integrate AV technology in courtrooms in compliance with legal standards, supporting lawyers in the use of this during trials, hearings and depositions.
- Ensuring AV equipment is maintained for optimal performance, conducting first line maintenance and escalating where required.
- Maintain accurate records of AV equipment inventory, configurations, and maintenance history.
- Training legal professionals and concierge team on AV equipment and provide ongoing support to staff.
- Develop and update user guides and manuals for AV Systems.
- Implement best practice protocols around the firm and for service providers, developing SLAs and monitoring performance against these
- Review annual budgets for the service providers, submitting requests to the Facilities Manager and continually reviewing costs and requests from subcontractors as and when they arise and against the approved budget for the year.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in AV technology, making recommendations for new technologies, or improvements to enhance the firm's audio-visual capabilities test and implement.
Key Skills and Experience of the AV Manager: - Proven experience in audio-visual technology, preferably in a legal of professional services environment.
- Proficiency with AV equipment such as video conferencing systems, projectors, microphones, and audio mixing consoles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Familiarity with legal proceedings and court processes is a plus.
