We are seeking a diligent and proactive caretaker to oversee the maintenance and security of our manufacturing facility to include equipment and vehicles. The successful candidate will be ensuring the cleanliness, safety and functionality of the premises and vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently to maintain a productive and secure environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of the manufacturing facility and vehicles to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasked as needed.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility, including production areas, offices areas, break rooms, reception, and toilets.
Responsible for ordering cleaning consumables and proper storage and handling of hazardous materials
- Responsible for ensuring all bins are emptied and waste/materials disposed of as per regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency exits and other safety equipment to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities on equipment and vehicles, inspections, and provide reports to management as needed.
- Uphold the company standards for cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
Working with office manager to organise outside contractors for the removal or recyclable materials.
- An advantage to those applicants who have previous forklift driving experience to carryout forklift duties on a reach truck.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience in facility maintenance or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment, vehicles and building.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practice for manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications for record-keeping and communication purposes.
Desirable Skills
- Valid Reach Forklift Truck Licence

Hours Available 16 - 24 per week Monday - Friday.
