Are you passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities? Do you have experience in working with young people in an educational setting? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the role of Learning Support Assistant at Lewisham College.

Lewisham College is a vibrant and inclusive further education college that offers a wide range of courses and qualifications for learners of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team and provide assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the classroom and around the college.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

- Work closely with the teachers and the SEND team to plan and deliver effective support for individual students or small groups
- Help students to access the curriculum, develop their skills and achieve their learning goals
- Provide feedback and guidance to students and monitor their progress and wellbeing
- Promote a positive and safe learning environment that respects diversity and inclusion
- Attend regular training and meetings to update your knowledge and skills

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning, such as Level 2 or 3 Certificate or Diploma
- Experience of working with students with SEND in an educational setting
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

This is a part-time role, working from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, during term time only. The salary is £15 per hour, plus holiday pay and pension scheme
