Job description

We are currently working with a neuro rehabilitation service, which provides care and treatment for patients with acquired brain injuries including strokes and neuro-progressive conditions. We are looking for passionate Registered Mental Health Nurses to join a transdisciplinary team that includes a range of professionals. Providing care to move patients through their journey towards greater independence in life.

• Huntington’s Disease
• High dependency rehabilitation units (HDUs)

50 bedded neuro rehabilitation service.

Up to £34,9000 – Depending on experience

37.5 hours per week 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing medication as per hospitals policies
• Compiling a positive risk assessment plan, a holistic plan of care in partnership with the individual and contribute to the pre- admission assessment of referred patients.
• Committing to the promotion of basic living skills within a rehabilitation setting
• Monitoring and reviewing individualised patient plans, within an evidence based framework.

Requirements

• You must be registered on the NMC
• Experience working in an environment with patients presenting as challenging in management
• We are unable to support or accept applications from candidates who are residents within the Red or Amber list of the Code of practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel in England, based on the World Health Organization (WHO) Workforce Support and Safeguard List.
