We are looking for an ambitious Team Leader to join our Lending team. Our Lending team are the engine behind supporting our members with securing a mortgage that is right for them. We achieve this through ensuring a smooth and efficient member journey for our mortgage members, from the day the mortgage application is submitted, through to the mortgage completion. We place our members at the heart of all that we do, and we are passionate about ensuring our services take our members on a fulfilling and exciting journey to secure their mortgage.

The role of the Team Leader will be to support our Lending Support Officers with the day to day running of the operations. The Team leader will effectively communicate and prioritise the daily tasks, associated with the end-to-end processing of a mortgage with Hinckley & Rugby Building Society.

What does the job look like?

• You will be responsible for the people management of our Lending Support Officers including supporting with their learning and development and organising the day to day running of the team.
• You will own the quality control within the Lending Support function that includes overseeing telephone manner, system input, fee collection and correspondence.
• Work closely with members of the team, including our underwriters to manage queries and expectations to ensure a timely process for our members.
• Line managing the Lending Support Officer, helping them grow and develop in their role.
• Evolving our internal processes through identifying efficiencies and working with the wider management team to implement and embed these.
