Job description
A market-leading energy storage business based in Surrey is currently recruiting a Senior Process Safety Engineer to join its team on a permanent basis. Your responsibilities will span various tasks related to the Ammonia cracking program, requiring a proactive and visionary approach with the potential to transition into a leadership role over time. The role is centred on driving excellence in design practices while ensuring safety and adherence to high standards.
Senior Process Safety Engineer responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a rapidly growing engineering team.
- Contribute to the Ammonia cracking program with a focus on promoting safe and excellent design practices.
- Report to the Fuel Processing Team Operations Manager and provide innovative solutions using core process safety and design skills.
- Process risk assessments and quantitative risk assessments (QRA).
- Producing DSEAR reports and designing, preparing and reviewing RFD & P&ID documents.
Senior Process Safety Engineer requirements
- Degree-level qualification in Chemical/Process Engineering or closely related.
- You must possess industry experience and demonstrate a strong knowledge of process safety (high chemical hazard sites, process risk assessments, QRA and safety legislation).
- Effective communicator. Able to present appropriate, concise, and accurate information in both written and verbal formats.
- A strong background in process engineering – covering elements such as producing DSEAR reports, designing and reviewing PFD/P&ID, Leading HAZOP and following ATEX regulations.
- Any experience with environmental legislation and compliance would be highly desirable – such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
£60k-65k + discretionary bonus + private medical + 25 days annual leave + pension
