About the role

In this role your expertise will shine as you tackle existing code bases; working to improve them with your clean, efficient code and utilising your problem solving prowess to provide business critical support. You'll also use your exceptional coding skills to craft new software solutions that leave a lasting impact.

You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of brilliant minds, immersing yourself in a variety of client systems and projects. Your out of the box idea's and attention to detail will set you apart as a true coding virtuoso.

But it's not just about coding. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of client management, by impressing them in client meetings, understanding their needs, and wowing them with your technical wizardry.

To excel in this role, you should have;

• Demonstratable software development experience, including developing, and supporting applications using C# and .NET, as well as front end technologies such as Angular, React or Vue.js.
• Experience of being client facing in a consultancy environment and/or of supporting multiple applications simultaneously.
• Experience working in a help/support desk environment would also be advantageous.
• Knowledge of web service development such as WCF or Web API.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework.
• Experience working with different SQL environments, such as MS SQL, My SQL & PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding and experience of software development methodologies, frameworks, version control systems (e.g., Git), and issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira).
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate technical challenges.
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Skills and experience in desktop application development using Winforms and/or WPF is highly desirable for this role.
• Skills and experience in other programming languages, development technologies and frameworks, particularly MVC, Javascript, Node.js, Bootstrap would be advantageous, as would experience of configuring & hosting websites.
• An understanding of software development principles such as SOLID, KISS & DRY would be advantageous.
