UK Payroll Manager - Transformation
Northampton
As a Barclays UK Payroll Manager - Transformation, you will be accountable for supporting and managing the payroll delivery of the UK and Channel Islands payrolls. You will lead critical payroll activity to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the monthly payroll such as running the gross to net and the administration of legislative documentation such as P60 and P11D. You will provide effective management of escalations for the wider UK payroll teams, giving guidance and assistance through to resolution.

What will you be doing?
• Providing assistance and guidance for the Payroll Service delivery, according to Barclays policy, legislative procedures and Controls
• Implementing payroll change and ensuring payroll readiness, embedding new operational services or migrating services where appropriate
• Completing thorough payroll related testing for all change programmes
• Identifying and driving improvement to our operational systems and procedures
• Ensuring learning is embedded following implementation of change or the raising of risks events
• Ensuring effective management of all customer escalations to payroll in line with agreed service levels
What we’re looking for:
• Extensive experience of payroll administration and support, with experience at expertise level
• Experience of influencing design and embedding new payroll systems and associated processes
• Decision making that takes accountability of policy, legislation, operational performance and the wider team deliverables
• Influence and negotiate at senior management level

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
