VANRATH are recruiting a Maintenance Electrician to work for an award-winning Main Contractor based in Greater Belfast.
Remuneration: £32,240 + van / fuel card / benefits
Client: Our client is an award-winning Main Contractor that has been operating in the construction industry for decades. They started out as a small building contractor and have evolved into a multi-faceted organisation that work on a range of projects across multiple sectors.
The business carry out new builds, refurbishments, extensions and alterations across commercial, retail, education, social housing, industrial and social housing sectors.
An opportunity has arisen in the Facilities Division for a Maintenance Electrician. The Electrician will be responsible for ongoing checks, testing, maintenance and reactive works in accommodations and facilities on site. The successful person will work as part of a wider maintenance team, to complete all works to a safe and satisfactory standard. The position will involve being on call on a rota basis.
Experience: - Ability to carry out major and minor electrical works, as required
- Ability to ensure all works are performance in accordance with Health and Safety and other relevant legislation and codes of practice
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good planning and organising skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Must hold BS7671 18th Update qualification
- Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification
- Experience of administering various forms of contracts
- Strong knowledge of general building works
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in electrical works
- ECS/CSCS/CSR card
- EICR and Initial verification 2391-52 or equivalent is ideal
