ATA are currently working closely with an industry leader who provide innovative solutions for the materials handling sector, our client has been at the forefront of robust British engineering and designs. This modern Business based in Corby are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their dynamic engineering team that already boast over a 100 years of industry experience, you will have the chance to work on exciting projects and new product development with a business that pride themselves on providing the best equipment to help their customers increase productivity, efficiency, and safety.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial part producing the best design solutions for new and ongoing projects using AutoCAD and Auto Desk Inventor software.

Some of the duties of a Mechanical Design Engineer will be to:

• Produce 3D modelling for components and assemblies.
• Produce 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembling products.
• Produce 2D Layout drawings.
• Carry out engineering calculations.
• Prepare product manuals with technical details.
• Attend client sites when required.

The Candidate:

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have a passion for design and engineering, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team and as an individual.

To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:

• CAD software experience in both 2D and 3D.
• Experience in designing machines, sheet-metal, and machined parts.
• Ability to carryout the relevant engineering calculations.
• A mechanical engineering qualification.
