We are looking for a full-time Construction Administrator to join our Hampton office. This position reports to our Director of Construction.
A Construction Administrator’s role is to be the liaison between the Owner, the Architect, the Contractor and MJT during the construction phase of a project. You are the face and voice of the Company during the construction and commissioning phase of the project.
Perform all aspects of CA on behalf of MJT, Inc. and the Owner as it relates to HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing. (Or any combination)
Assist the design engineer in the timely review of shop drawings. No more than a one week turn around on this.
Conduct project meetings (OAC meetings).
Prepare Meeting Agendas one day in advance and forward them to the Owner and Contractor.
Provide complete progress meeting minutes within 3 days to Owner and Contractor.
Observe adherence with the contract documents and report using the Site Visit Report process. Perform site visits in accordance with the project scope of work and quantity of site visits to be provided
Assist the design engineer in resolving construction and design related problems in the field.
Coordinate with design engineer to respond to Contractor’s requests or information and change orders.
Perform above ceiling inspections, and final walk throughs.
Perform final punch lists and back checks.
Prepare project closeout documents for submission to the Owner. This includes O&M’s, C x A reports, TAB reports, final pay application review, etc.

10 years of experience with mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing trade
5 years of experience in commercial or industrial new construction/ renovation work
Trades license a plus
Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive applications.
Be proficient in written and verbal communication.
Assist design engineers in initial field work and to investigate constructability of project.
