MECHANICAL TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri)
Location: Cheltenham, GL51 0EX
Excellent benefits package including Contributory Pension and Company Car/Car Allowance. 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part time employees), subject to maintaining clearance requirements.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Technical Services Manager to join our friendly team based in Cheltenham. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm.
As Mechanical Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of engineering services delivery, managing performance of planned maintenance through to small works projects to major lifecycle renewals. The role will cover all aspects of Building Engineering Services and responsibility will be allocated based upon skill set.
Responsibilities
Review maintenance regime and maintenance tasks.
Produce subject matter reporting to validate performance, identify risks and opportunities and demonstrate that the service is being effectively managed.
Support the Head of Hard FM to monitor and report on Service Level Tests, KPIs, assisting with reporting and planning improvements, and aligning service improvements with Contract deliverables.
Contribute to the development of best practice methodologies that support the assessment of asset condition and which can be used to drive asset maintenance and life cycle planning.
Identify best practices from both within and outside of the organisation and recommend the implementation of such initiatives in support of business improvements that reduce cost, improve operating margins and that realise, over time real financial advantage over our competition.
Support the ‘Health, Safety and Compliance Manager’ as necessary to ensure that robust systems are in place to ensure adequate quality and quantity of data capture.
Contribute to the Life cycle plan and support, as necessary, the delivery of the resultant project works.
Act as a point of contact for the project delivery team in respect of assessing maintenance implications associated with both ‘project’ and ‘non-maintenance’ activity.
Support the delivery, as directed, of a high quality infrastructure service across all Hard service disciplines as well as specialist cleaning and fabric services inclusive of Duty Manager on-call.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Client and customer to ensure their reasonable needs are fully understood and delivered within the constraints of protecting and managing within the Annual Operating Plan.
We are looking for someone who is a team player and has excellent leadership skills through both technical expertise and mentoring. You need to have excellent attention to detail, be analytical and have a good understanding of risk and control measures. In depth knowledge of complex mechanical systems and a willingness to further develop is also required.
Essential
HND in Mechanical Engineering.
Demonstrable large site operational management.
Experience in a secure and/or critical environment.
Ability and willingness to obtain DV.
Desirable
BENG qualification graded 2:1 or higher.
Membership of professional body (MIMech etc).
SMSTS.
IOSH Managing Safely/ NEBOSH Gen. Cert.
