More detail about the role: An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Engineer to join our busy and friendly maintenance team. You will need to be a well-motivated and enthusiastic engineer with a flexible approach to work. The successful candidate will ultimately have the opportunity to work within a vibrant Imaging Department. This particular role will require good communication and dexterity skills to meet the high standards of repair that are expected of us. You will work on a wide range of imaging systems and equipment across all areas within the Trust. This will require the individual to be skilled, self-motivated and proactive, have an ability to work safely, but effectively as a valued member of the maintenance team. You should have a good demonstratable knowledge within this field and be that person that takes pride in their work. You will receive specific system training, both on site, UK based and also be expected to travel abroad for OEM training were applicable. We provide a cooperative service for many of our systems and work closely with Siemens, Philips, Canon, Medray, AGFA, Samsung as well as 3rd party provider Probo. The department currently houses 2 MRI, 3 CT, 2 flouro, an angio suite, 6 general rooms, mobile x-ray systems, dexa, 2 gamma camera and various ultrasound scanners, of which you will have varying levels of involvement, all relevant to your training. We are working closely with the Exeter Nightingale Hospital which is a diagnostic centre and have 2 CTs and 1 MR scanner located at this site. We also provide a growing service to the wider community. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the team ensuring that the Trusts Visions and Values are maintained at all times, focusing on engineering excellence, integrity and support for the wider Medical Imaging team.
