Job description

What you will do in your working day

We’re looking for a motivated individual who is looking to make a move into a Finance team. You will study the Level 3 apprenticeship with AAT study support, and you’ll have the option to complete the AAT L4 Professional Accounting Technician apprenticeship shortly after, all within a 3-year timeline.

Contract Payroll:

• Compliance and UK regulations for PAYE contractors
• Processing timesheets and expenses
• Internal reporting P45’s, new starter checklists, and other tax details
• Dealing with general payroll queries
• Liaising with umbrella companies

Credit Control:

• Checking and issuing invoices to clients
• Client and internal reporting & statements
• Chasing client debt
• Liaising with clients and internal staff to resolve queries
• Cash allocation

Management Accounts & Purchase Ledger:

• Processing purchase ledger invoices
• Journal Processing
• Internal & External Reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Cost Analysis
• Assisting in the production of Management Accounts

The training you will be getting

AAT Level 3 Assistant Accountant, which includes:

• You'll have four Level 3 AAT exams including advanced bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, and more
• Modules covering Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours in Finance
• You'll have a personal tutor to guide you through your training
• You will attend 1:1 sessions with your tutor every 2/3 weeks
• End Point Assessment (online)
• Occasional group classes with other learners
• Access to My AAT for learning material
• AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting
• AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping (if required) 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• Fusion People are seeking an apprentice who is committed to the company, in order to achieve their Level 3 apprenticeship and possibly Level 4 apprenticeship ( there's room for development) 

Depending on any role on offer would dictate future training options and professional development path. For example, if a role was available within our Management Accounts team, CIMA or ACCA study support may be available.
