Are you ready to take the helm of our plant and equipment across our depot network? GCU, a successful contractor in Utilities, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, and Traffic Management, is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to drive operational excellence and foster innovation across our locations in Scotland including Inverness, Glasgow, Dundee and the Highlands & Islands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead operational activities of the plant with finesse.
- Cultivate strong relationships with depot and operations teams.
- Prepare insightful reports for senior management.
- Implement a robust maintenance program.
- Keep administrative records shipshape including updating plant lists.
- Manage inventory levels and product flow.
- Elevate product quality to meet standards and customer needs.
- Skilfully manage expenditure and capital requirements.
- Travel to depots required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Seasoned General Manager/Plant Manager with ideally an utilities or civil engineering background.
- Track record of success across branch networks.
- Proven ability to drive tangible improvements.
- Exceptional communicator with a genuine passion for company goals.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel.
- Valid driver's license.
