Your experience in global freight operations will ensure our product arrives in distribution centres exactly when we need it, in the most efficient way.

The hybrid working pattern features a minimum three days a week at our global head office in Solihull, UK.

YOUR ROLE

You will have the key role of managing our on time inbound supply channels. This is a multi-faceted remit that has influence across key business stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to travel and inspect operations for yourself first hand.

Key responsibilities include:

• Freight Contract Management : Oversee forwarder contracts and share critical information with the business.
• NPD : Be aware of all New Product launch dates; manage and monitor the performance and be prepared to intervene where there is risk to timelines.
• Commercial : Work closely with our commercial team on quantity and into distribution and arrangements to meet demand, especially in preparation of peak trading periods.
• Global : Establish new overseas routes to warehouses including location selection, planning, contract negotiation, establishing and operation management.
• Fulfilment : Coordinate with warehouse for order fulfilment activities and track delivery of goods to ensure peak efficiencies.
• Costings : Provide costings from all origins and freight movements to enable the commercial teams to understand their uplifts on FOB/FCA (and other Incoterms) prices.
• Calendar : Contribute to the sourcing programme and represent logistics in highlighting key requirements for delivery of product into market.
• Sourcing and Procurement : Align with the wider supply chain function on goals and deliverables.

Essential skills:

• Experience in managing global fashion or FMCG supply chains, with demonstrable success in managing a diverse supply base, driving change, and embedding robust processes in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Proven track record within a Global freight operations environment and improving performance.
• Adaptable, self-aware, and a clear communicator at all levels, with the ability to influence peers and senior managers, and delegate effectively.
• Evidence of gathering carefully selected data from appropriate sources, probing, and considering all the facts, conducting root cause analysis and acting decisively.
• Excellent planner with the ability to think months ahead.
• Self-motivated, focussed and results orientated, with the ability to operate within a highly pressurised, fast paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in carrier management/contract management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Highly experienced in at least one of SCM/TMS/PLM systems.
• Experience of initiating and implementing continuous improvement and change management.
