Job description
Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Project Delivery Manager on a 3 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.
Main accountabilities:
- To act as the main day to day contact for the professional team for a transformation project.
- To ensure that all internal stakeholders are engaged at the right time and at the right levels to ensure project success.
- To ensure that all internal governance processes are followed and all approvals are in place.
- To ensure that the Communications & Engagement Plan is followed and refreshed with the Comms Team and Engagement Officers as necessary.
- To ensure that Project Board documentation is compiled and issued to board members in a timely manner.
- To work with the project Finance Manager (internal), QS (external) and PM (external) to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
- To act as main client contact on a limited number of other, smaller value projects.
Requirements:
- Experience of building refurbishment projects, ideally with experience of leisure projects; mixed use projects and listed buildings.
- A thorough understanding of local government governance principles; accountability and reporting.
- Ideally a Project Management qualification (PRINCE2).
- Excellent communication skills and awareness of differences of opinion and how to reach consensus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of different values.
