Job description
Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for a Transport Manager to begin work for a well-established company in the Hertford area.
About the role:
- Working Hours - 45 - 56 Hours Per Week Mon - Friday & Weekends.
- Pay Rate - £40,500 - £45,000 Per Annum, £26 per night out, £5 per night out for subsistence allowance.
- Permanent Position
- Start: ASAP
Role Description:
- Manage a team of 7 drivers ensuring effective allocation of duties across multiple sites.
- 0 licence management.
- Route deliveries to fully utilise the fleet (10) to maximum efficiency
- Organise third-party haulage when required.
- Monitor and manage the proper completion of 'paperwork' (delivery notes, POD’s, etc...)
- Manage the completion of hauler audits.
- Maintain and develop a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the site.
- Managing a team of drivers including monitoring driver’s hours to ensure compliance.
- Inducting new drivers / training
- Create haulage invoices for the transport administrator
- Co-ordinate emergency repairs of lorries
- Finding & pricing haulage jobs.
- Maintain O license and driver record paperwork
About You:
- HGV Licence
- CPC Transport Manager
- Telescopic handler / Forklift ticket
- Good communication skills
- Excel
- Transport Planning experience
