We are currently supporting them exclusively, to recruit an Electrochemist. This may suit somebody with more experience, who wishes to have a Senior job title.
The Role:
- Lead and develop the electrochemical testing programme
- Develop current technology for various commercial applications and products
- Research and evaluate the performance improvements in energy storage cells to achieve the potential of the technology
- Ensure resources are adequate and available on a day-to-day basis, setting objectives, scheduling work and ensuring successful outcomes
- Liaise with external contacts (e.g suppliers etc)
What do you need to apply?
- PhD in Electrochemistry or similar
- At least 3 publications in the Q1 ranking journals with a relevant qualification. Senior candidates should have at least 5 publications, or relevant industrial experience of at least 2 years with demonstrable R&D skills
- Strong practical knowledge of electrochemical cell (battery and supercapacitor) design, component interactions and testing
- Background in experimental design and physical characterization of materials employed in the cell design
- Robust theoretical knowledge in electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques
- Experience in the design, synthesis and characterization of carbon-based electrode materials
- Able to develop new electrolyte chemistries
- Interest in driving new IP
- Presentation skills
