Job Introduction
Sodexo are seeking a skilled and reliable Store person in Macclesfield - SK10 2NA to be the conduit between the suppliers & catering management , to accept daily food & beverage deliveries & organise stores/ fridges in the area. Maintaining SSOW & recording due diligence with reporting into to the head chef
What you’ll do:
- To assist as directed with all aspects of fresh, ambient & frozen food deliveries coming to site
- To provide efficient and friendly customer service with suppliers & site customers
- To ensure that food delivered from suppliers are correctly stacked & damages reported to line manager
- To complete necessary temperature & delivery checks then complete Sodexo Food Safety Management due diligence
- To communicate well with suppliers & team members and demonstrate a helpful attitude at all times
- To undertake all aspects of cleaning the stores, surrounding areas & refrigeration units to the company’s standard according to the cleaning sheet assigned to the area.
- To ensure all areas are kept as clean as is reasonably practicable and stores rooms adequately serviced during non throughout the week
- Removal of all card board/ delivery waste from the stores rooms & put in recycling bins provided
- Ensure stock rotation on new delivered items coming in are put to the back and old brought to the front to mitigate OOD stock
- To assist at service times on request by helping in the pot/plate wash over lunch periods when required
- To fulfil any reasonable management request
- On occasion to deliver food to outbuildings when required by car.
- To attend/receive any job-related training as required
- To follow company procedures and policies at all times

- Excellent communicator
- Customer service focused – Being the conduit between suppliers & the catering management team
- Ability to work on own initiative
- A strong & agile team member due to the nature of the job as this has lots of Manual Handling & heavy lifting
- Full UK Driving license required
