Job description
This family are looking to secure day time support for their 2 month old daughter. Based in a lovely apartment complex in Hammersmith on the river, this is a calm environment. This would be ideally suited to a trained maternity nurse who is looking to pick up some additional hours during the day.
The Role:
- Provide care for the 2 month old
- Follow the established feeding and sleeping schedule
- Monitor the baby's health and well-being
- Change nappies and perform basic hygiene tasks
- Engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate the baby's development
- Administer any necessary medications or treatments as instructed by parents or healthcare professionals
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the baby
- Communicate regularly with the parents about the baby's progress and any concerns
- Provide emotional support to the baby and ensure their comfort and happiness
- Take the baby for walks or outings in the neighbourhood, weather permitting
The Person:
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, such as a Maternity Nursing qualification or equivalent
- Experience working as a maternity nurse or nanny with infants
- Knowledge of infant care, including feeding, sleep routines, and hygiene practices
- Understanding of infant development and stimulation techniques
- First aid and CPR certification for infants
- Knowledge of safe sleep practices and SIDS prevention
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with parents and healthcare professionals
- Trustworthiness and reliability to work in sole charge of the baby
- Flexibility to adapt to the family's routine and needs
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to provide emotional support to the baby and family
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment for the baby
- Respect for the family's privacy and confidentiality
