Job description

We are looking to recruit a Category Manager with IT category experience on behalf of a major Private Sector client in the Utilities industry.

This excellent opportunity has become available as our client is growing and looking to add talent to their Team.

As Category Manager you will have the opportunity to influence and shape our client’s business model and supply chain strategy. This is a permanent/full time position, working 37 hours/week and offering a hybrid working model for an optimal work-life balance.

In this role, you will:

• lead in the development and implementation of the IT category and sourcing strategies
• inform and influence business strategies and align category strategies to maximise value creation
• you will work closely with Sourcing, Contract Management & Commercial teams to develop and implement category strategies
• oversee full category lifecycle

Skills and experience needed are:

• IT procurement experience
• knowledge of the IT supplier landscape, sourcing, category management
• relevant qualifications (CIPS / Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field)
• experience working with best practice tools, techniques and processes for the development of category strategies
