Days & Hours: 7.30am to 7.30pm, Sundays weekly and Monday and Fridays in the school holidays.

About this client/child: We are recruiting a new dedicated SEN Support Worker for Elsa’s care team. Elsa, 5, has Cerebral Palsy, is a wheelchair user and has a walker to support her mobility. Elsa is pre-verbal, and uses AAC to support her communication. Elsa is a thrill seeker, she loves going to theme parks and goes with her family and support workers regularly. Elsa is very busy so you will need to keep up, she goes horse riding each week, she attends Rainbows and loves days out to go to the park or the beach. Elsa has just started singing lessons and loves to practice at home as well. Elsa is extremely determined, strong-willed and is as bright as a button. She loves all things creative, lots of imaginative and pretend play.
Overview of role: Elsa has a busy diary and likes to explore new hobbies and interests. As Elsa’s SEN Support Worker, you will plan activities, play games, support Elsa to access the community, Elsa attends Rainbows weekly and loves to see her friends, Elsa needs an SEN Support Worker who will promote her independence, facilitate her learning, help her access the world around her, implement her therapy programmes and support her with all self-care and self-help skills. Elsa’s home is fully adapted with ceiling track hoists etc. Ideally the role is every Sunday, but the family can consider someone who can work every other Sunday. Monday and Fridays during the school holidays, however, are essential.
Who this job would suit: An engaging, active, fun, and positive SEN Support Worker. This role would be a fantastic part-time position for a SEN Teacher or Teaching Assistant. Due to the family home location, a driver with their own car is preferred and the role is open to *female candidates only.
