Job description
Clinical: Provide high quality elective and emergency surgical care to the people of Newcastle and the wider NE Further develop pelvic floor sub-speciality service as part of a multidisciplinary team Administrative: Provide timely communication to the wider team in hospital and the community Contribute to the efficient running of elective and acute care. Engage with national audits (NELA, NBOCAP, IMPACT etc) Research: Engage with research activities in the department and sit within Newcastle Centre for Bowel Diseases Research Group Provide leadership in supporting medical students and doctors in training deliver research projects Teaching: The department leads many educational programs and teaching is an important part of this role Opportunities to lead/further develop courses are numerous via the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre (NSTC)
