Monday to Thursday; 7:30am till 4:30pm and Friday; 7:30am till 12:30pm

Job Role
As a Wood Machinist and a valuable member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting high-quality, bespoke office furniture and storage solutions. Your responsibilities will include;
- Machining Operations: Operate various woodworking machinery, such as saws, planers, routers, and CNC machines, to cut, shape, and finish wooden components according to design specifications.
- Material Preparation: Prepare raw materials, including wood and sheet materials, for machining by measuring, marking, and selecting appropriate tools and equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and precision of machined components, conducting quality checks and making adjustments as necessary to maintain high production standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and promptly report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team to ensure the equipment's optimal performance.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with colleagues in other departments, including assembly and finishing teams, to ensure seamless production processes and timely project completion.
- Efficiency: Strive for efficiency and productivity by optimising machine settings, minimising waste, and contributing ideas for process improvement.
Person Profile
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Proven experience as a Wood Machinist or similar role in a woodworking or furniture manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining woodworking machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design specifications.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
