BIM / CAFM Manager
As an integral part of the college’s support team, the individual will be involved in all aspects of the estates function, from day to day management, strategic planning, developing and manage the systems to allow the college to deliver effective and efficient operational services across all 6 campuses and to working with the design teams and contractors to deliver the BIM level 2 projects. Essential to the role will be to design, train and implement the new cross college CAFM (facility management) systems within the college , and manage this contract for all the other colleges to ensure a consistent level of service and reporting structures.
Among other duties, the Post Holder will:
- Work with the Head of Estates to develop future strategic plans
- Work directly with the Head of Estates to coordinate with the college users to deliver the two new campuses in Coleraine and Ballymena.
- Develop, implement, and manage the new CAFM (facility management system), and lead the cross-sector college’s collaborative project. This will involve providing training for staff and the estates team, and developing suitable CAFM systems/methods/tools for both existing and new facilities.
- Liaise with all Colleges across NI FE sector to develop and deliver a suitable/fit for purpose CAFM system across the college sector
- Manage CAFM system within the College ensuring integration with BIM level 2 information on the new build campuses
- Develop and deliver training on CAFM system to Estates staff across the FE sector
- Manage the colleges outsource ppm/maintenance/minor works contracts across all 6 campuses, including liaison with consultants and contractors and coordinating projects across the entire college estate.
- Liaise with the head of estates, facility managers and curriculum heads, programming and managing the works packages from inception to completion, budgetary control and audit tracking accounts/payments.
- Set up and manage the common data environment for the two new projects and the two remaining campuses
- Masters in Building information management (BIM)
- Degree qualified in an architectural related degree
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience developing and implementing BIM level 2 procedures and protocols on construction projects over £10m.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of working as part of a project team in the design and construction of construction projects over £10m.
Grade 7 Deputy Principal - £27.33 per/hour
