Job Overview: Viator, a Tripadvisor company and the world’s largest experiences marketplace, is searching for a talented and dedicated editor to join its global content team. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day production of SEO-optimized content for Viator’s 300K+ product detail pages (PDPs). This position is ideal for someone who has both e-commerce and editorial experience, with a proven track record in creating keyword-rich content that is engaging for people to read and easy for search engines to index. Responsibilities: Manage a publication schedule for Viator’s product detail pages. Assign, edit, proofread, fact-check, and publish content created by in-house and freelance writing, editing, and content support teams. Create and maintain assignments in a custom web-based system that allows us to seamlessly assign 5K+ pieces of content each month. Pull reports and cross-reference with customer data to guide content production decisions. Maintain direct relationships with writers and editors, responding to queries and providing regular feedback. Work in a custom content management system (CMS) to create and update content. Ensure adherence to SEO best practices and Viator’s tone and voice. Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and project timelines. Proactively troubleshoot content workflows and optimize content production. Collaborate with ME and other team members to generate new content concepts. Support the ME in the production of content for other projects and pages. Job requirements: 4+ years of professional writing and editing experience (writing samples required), with a year of e-commerce experience preferred. Project manager approach to content, including project definition, scoping, and planning; resource allocation and management; and delivery to time, scope, quality, and budget. Superb communicator with close attention to detail who can write effective, concise copy to maximize conversion. Comfortable working with other teams and building strategic working relationships. Demonstrated ability to work independently and pivot between a variety of projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines. High level of confidence working with Salesforce, custom CMS, or other relevant web-based tracking and content-entry systems. Strong understanding of SEO concepts. Familiarity with AP Style and writing in American English. Solid Excel experience required. Experience with Asana, Tableau, Jira, and Confluence is preferred. A love for travel (and travel experience) is a strong plus.
