Snapshot of What We’re Looking For

Analytical and detail driven? We are seeking passionate Management Accountant to join WD-40 Company’s Award winning European Finance and Accounting team.

Reporting to the European Accounting Manager, this position, will be responsible for the production of regional financial statements, analytical reviews, incisive commentary on the financial results as well as maintaining effective controls.

Collaborating across Northern Europe, the right candidate will be a coordinator for European branch requirements, proactively troubleshoot and seek resolutions to ensure timely and accurate financial reconciliations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepares management accounts, analytical reviews and associated reporting.
• Ensures complete and accurate recording of all assets and liabilities and timely completion of the financial statements.
• Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts monthly, dealing with multiple currencies including revaluation of multiple ledgers.
• Maintains various balance sheet account reconciliations. Analyses and interprets data to gain a detailed view of the balance sheet whilst ensuring that all reconciliations follow best-practice and can be easily reviewed by management and external auditors.
• Reviews and analyses Profit and Loss fluctuations.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Professional Accounting Qualification ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
• Management accounting experience/ERP involvement, working in a commercially focused finance environment, ideally of a subsidiary of an American company.
• Good knowledge of management accounting, P & L B/S, general ledger, journals, month-end close and accounting standards.
• Good knowledge of balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis.
• Good knowledge of inventory processes and reconciliations.
• Knows how to complete month-end procedures, reporting and annual processing functions in a timely, compliant and accurate manner.
• Professional knowledge of maintaining fixed asset registers.
• Good knowledge of VAT, intrastat, EC sales and reporting to local authorities.
