JOB ROLE; Band 8a Pharmacist
BAND; 8a
LOCATION; Basildon
Monday to Friday 0900 to 1715 (45 min lunch)
Weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) when required and agreed with department Clinical Lead or Head of Department, times flexible based on workload.
Predominately ward based pharmacist duties including medicines reconciliation, clinical screen of medicines, patient counselling, responding to medicines enquiries and supply of medicines.
Dispensary duties maybe expected including checking of dispensed medicines. Use of paper and electronic prescribing systems.
Other duties may include and not limited to clinical screening of CMDU COVID prescriptions and support in guideline writing.
Critical Care experience preferred. If not, then require previous hospital ward-based experience in general medicine and surgery wards.
