Job description
This contract with our central government client is for a Senior Facility Engineer for 18 months. The role is located in Aldermaston and requires 3 days per week onsite.
Core Day to Day Duties

- Safety Cases
- Managing external stakeholder safety cases
- Stakeholder management
- Design reviews
- Leading shortfall meetings
- Stakeholder engagement collaboration
- Live documents
Key part of role:
• Safety Cases
o Documents covering risk assessment for a facility. Figure out what to do to make it better.
o Nuclear background may have something similar; safety reviews, hazardous reviews
Requirements
- HNC with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level.
- Membership of an engineering institution.
- Understand what a safety case is
o Safety case is a key phrase. Equivalents from other companies may be safety reviews, risk management on hazardous situations.
o Good screening question “What’s your safety case experience”.
- Understands relevant legislation.
- Nuclear background/experience
- RAF/Defence background may provide transferable skills.
- Background in Project/engineering management
- Regulatory and legislative experience
- Engineering side/degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- there is no preference regarding their field of engineering. Mechanical, electrical, C&I, Civil, all ok, they are looking across all fields, as long as there is an engineering background.
