Planning Strategy Manager
East Anglia
3-months
£500 per day (Inside IR35)

I am working closely with my County Council client based in East Anglia as they seek a interim Planning Strategy Manager.

As long term sick leave cover, this role is to backfill the activities that need to be performed during this period.  These include:
·Working with a borough council (BC) and three developers as regards the delivery of new primary and secondary schools within the area's Garden Suburb - a scheme of 3,500 homes.
·To work through priorities for the funding of infrastructure and  investigate external funding work.
·Work through Heads of Terms with a BC and one developer.
·Finalise the council response to the a new Local Plan Reg. 19 consultation.  Responses need to be submitted by 12th March.  This will involve finalising positions with internal colleagues and councillors into an overall coherent response.
·Provide options for how the council manages engagement in Neighbourhood Plans
·Procure training utilising the Planning Skills Fund.
·Supporting junior team members in their response to specific planning applications that arrive during the period.

The ideal candidate will be able to attend the office 2-days per week, with the remaining 3-days per week from home. However, part-time candidates will be considered and the remote working structure can be flexible.
