Head of Policy & Engagement
The Law Society of Northern Ireland is the professional body for the Solicitor profession with over 6,000 members, of whom circa 3,000 are in practice in the private, corporate and public sectors.
The Law Society is the voice of the Solicitor profession in Northern Ireland and represents the profession’s interests through engagement with Government and other agencies. The Law Society seeks to be an authoritative voice on legal services policy in Northern Ireland and undertakes regular engagement with the Minister of Justice, the Department of Justice, and the Justice Committee of the Northern Ireland Assembly to promote the interests of the Solicitor profession on issues such as Access to Justice.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain the Law Society’s strategic relationships with key organisations and institutions, promote understanding of the contribution of the legal services sector to the regional economy and effectively represent the profession and influence the development of law and practice in Northern Ireland.
