Stonyhurst College is a leading Catholic co-educational boarding and day school educating some 500 pupils aged 13 to 18 with an additional 250 pupils aged 3 to 13 at the adjacent preparatory school, St Mary’s Hall. Based in a magnificent Grade I listed building within a 1,000 acre estate, Stonyhurst offers a beautiful rural setting in Lancashire's Ribble Valley. This is an exciting time in the development of Stonyhurst College. Academic results are excellent and there is an ambitious strategic plan including the recent opening of Stonyhurst International School Penang, Malaysia in 2022, as well as further plans for future growth.
Reporting directly to the Headmaster, the Finance and Operations Director will have overall responsibility for the leadership of all non-educational functions within the school, including the Management Accountant, Facilities Director, Commercial Director, Human Resources Director, Catering Director and ICT Services Director. They will work as part of the Executive Team to ensure the successful execution of the Stonyhurst Strategic Plan and vision for the future.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, commercially minded and experienced leader who will drive the commercial strategy of the School through a collaborative and enabling style that will bring the best out of others. They will have a clear commitment to the spiritual values and a genuine affinity to the distinctive ethos and atmosphere of Stonyhurst.
