Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including assisting with recruitment activities, maintaining employee records, and coordinating onboarding processes for new hires
- Support the finance department in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, reconciling financial records, and assisting with grant management activities
- Assist with payroll processing, employee expense reimbursements, and other finance-related tasks under the guidance of experienced staff members
- Support general business operations by assisting with procurement activities, maintaining office supplies, and coordinating meetings and events
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, gaining valuable insights into financial management practices
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for HR, finance, and other administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- -Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational effectiveness and efficiency
Qualifications:
- High school GCSE’s or equivalent required; pursuing or eager to pursue a certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and willingness to learn new software applications
- Detail-oriented
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to seeking opportunities for growth and development
- Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct in handling sensitive information
The training you will be getting
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard:
- The successful applicant will be allocated with an assessor who will visit them in the workplace once every 6-8 weeks
