Job description
Marine Resources are excited to be representing an award- winning superyacht tender company on the South Coast who are renowned for their impeccably high standards. We are recruiting for a Buyer due to the continued growth of the business.
This is a busy role that will require someone with a background in buying / procurement / purchasing, which reports to the Procurement manager. It will require communicating with international suppliers as well as internal departments.
Our ideal candidate will be extremely organised, can prioritise workloads and meet deadlines to ensure a smooth process for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities - Raise and expedite stock purchase orders and reviewing and processing acknowledgements.
- Raise custom and free text purchase orders for projects, working from complex Bills of Materials and liaising with the Design Department for technical information.
- Communicate with suppliers over the phone and via email regarding delivery dates and orders.
- Maintaining records of supplier contracts and pricing updates on Sage 200
- Resolving invoice queries.
- Creating new part numbers on the system.
- Work closely with internal departments. Updating the team about any delays or problems with suppliers.
- Assisting the Procurement Manager to research suppliers and obtain quotations.
- Arrange the import / export of orders from Europe / ROW by obtaining quotations and liaising with shipping agents and completing relevant documentation.
- Completing applications for product warranties and dealing with the stores team and suppliers regarding the return of goods and following the process through chasing either the replacements or credit.
