Job description

The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner/TA for our Little Pips – 2 year old provision for Summer Term 2024 or as soon as possible.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and effective team in a unique and happy setting. 

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant\EYFS practitioner who:

• Will understand the value of play and how to facilitate this between children of a young age, both in and outside of the classroom
• Can support pupils with SEND, 1:1 or in a small group to access provision.
• Can demonstrate excellent communication skills to support and inspire pupils’ learning.
• Can contribute to raising standards of pupils’ achievement and to undertake a range of teaching and learning activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
• Is committed to promoting high standards of care and education.
• Would help to create stimulating learning environments, both indoor and outdoor.
• Can maintain confidentiality and discretion and has a good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
• Is conscientious and demonstrates a commitment to their professional development.

The postholder will work alongside the Early Years team to support the planning, observation and extension of children’s learning.

This post is fixed term until 31st August 2025, 32.5 hours per week plus overtime opportunities, term time only over 195 days
