Job description
Seed of Hope is looking to recruit a Trainee Recovery Navigator, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The role of the Trainee Recovery Navigator is to guide our participants in their Recovery journeys, and to assist the Recovery Lead in the running of our therapeutic gardening groups.
The trainee will undertake a training programme and will be mentored by the Recovery Lead in their Mental Health Recovery practice.
The post is fixed term for six months, 16 hrs a week, 8 hours of which will be running one of our groups based in Watchet, Bridgwater, Chilton Polden and Glastonbury with our Recovery Lead. The intention is that the Trainee will run one group a week independently when ready within the six months.
The remaining 8 hours will be study and training relating to Mental Health Recovery as directed. As well as participating in regular family (team) meetings.
The Trainee will need to be able to travel to attend groups and events across Somerset.
Training and study will be mainly accessed online, so access to internet and home work environment is a requirement. Some travel nationally may be needed as part of the programme of training.
Seed of Hope is a Real Living Wage employer, the post will be paid at the 2024 rate of £12/hr.
The organisation has a contributory pension scheme- NEST.
Annual Leave and Sick Pay are the National Statutory rates.
