Grafton Banks Finance is working with a growing and successful SME business, based in Battle, to recruit their new Management Accountant.
This role is the number one in finance role for this business, reporting into the Chairman, and managing a small team to deliver accounting, reporting, and financial management.
We are looking for a hands-on accountant with strong skills month end accounting, balance sheet management, and team management. You’ll ideally be experienced working in an SME business and will be happy working in a hands on role. Being a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is preferred but accountants who are qualified by experience will also be considered.
This role is paying £50,000 – 55,000 + benefits including 15% bonus, 5% matched pension, and 25 days holiday. The role will be office based full time whilst you become established across the business, hybrid working will then be considered at a later date.
Key tasks:
Managing the Finance Team; acting as a strong role model.
Prepare budgets and forecasts.
Prepare monthly management accounts and present to business owners.
Monitor and manage cash flows and rolling cash flow forecast.
Ensure daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
Oversee management of aged debtors.
Monthly payroll.
Ad-hoc financial and business projects.
Lead liaison with external accountants and bank manager.
Liaising with external accountants and tax advisers on the annual accounts and Partnership tax return.”
