Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a successful and growing multi-displinary consultancy on the hire of a qualified and experienced Associate Director to join the friendly and busy team in Sheffield.
As an Associate Director, you will work semi-autonomously, under the supervision of Directors. You will lead on projects and engage in both development management and development plan/policy work. This will include but is not limited to, managing planning applications of all scales, planning appeals, Local Plan representations, site promotion, Local Plan Examination and public inquiry work.
With excellent stakeholder management skills, you will also be offered a high degree of client interface and the opportunity to attend networking events in order to grow your personal contacts and promote the company. You should be self-motivated and will be excited by the prospect of developing your own client base and making a real contribution to the growth of the business.
You will also be expected to assist Directors with the day-to-day management of the office and supervise junior members of the planning team.
Qualifications
I am looking to hear from a qualified Town Planner ideally with appropriate professional experience to take on an Associate Director role (which can come from the private or public sector). Candidates should be educated to undergraduate level (2:1 or above) and should also obtained a postgraduate qualification in Planning. You should also be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). A full driving licence is essential.
