Planning Officer

As a planning Officer you will be required to carry out a full range of development management functions including the assessing of all types and scale of applications. Conserve the City’s heritage whilst enabling appropriate development across the City to provide a modern, customer focussed and business friendly service.
A minimum of 3 days in the office/hybrid role position.
Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planning Officer to join our team. As a Planning Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our organization's planning processes are executed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with various departments to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in planning and project management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will need to have the ability to think critically and strategically, as well as possess strong communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are key to success in this position.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
Conduct research and analysis to identify industry trends and best practices in planning.
Monitor and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of ongoing planning initiatives.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of planning information, including data, reports, and project documentation.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input and feedback on planning initiatives.
Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and resource allocation for planning initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, urban planning, or a related field.
Proven experience in planning and project management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient in the use of planning software and tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in planning.
Familiarity with budgeting and resource allocation processes.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Hours Per Hour: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour/ Weekends: £31.98
