Job description

Lead Generator with general haulage or pallet network and business development is required to join a growing business, predominantly working on the road with flexibility of having administrative days at home or in their offices 1-2 days per week.

The job:
• Title: Lead/Business Generator
• Designation: Sales or Business Development
• Location: Milton Keynes or Corby (up to 2 days per week)
• Rota: standard office hours, Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00
• Other: to be predominantly on the road to source potential prospects with 1-2 days per week working from home and/or the office in Milton Keynes in order to complete any administration duties. The role will include but not limited to cold calling, door knocking, utilising all social media platforms, emailing business prospects and the patch you will be covering will be industrial estates in the Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire regions.

The package:
• Salary c.£25k-£30k depending on experience (negotiable)
• Standard 28 days annual leave allowance, growing with length of service

The candidate:
• Must have prior working experience within UK haulage and/or recycling and/or pallet network in a sales capacity
• Will have a full UK driving licence and access to a reliable car (mandatory)
• Should be a confident, concise and personal individual (mandatory)
• Shall be willing to ‘knock on doors’ to seek new business opportunities and hand over any potential leads (mandatory)
• Can manage own leads by creating a prospecting spreadsheet, continue marketing and complete follow ups when required (mandatory)
• Might have history working as a Logistics / Driving Recruitment Consultant who enjoys drumming up new business but has no interest in account management (desirable)
• Could have experience in attending industry events or trade shows and be willing to build the brand and representing the company (desirable)
• Would be able to demonstrate their ability to research and identify potential leads (mandatory)
• Ought to have a good knowledge of local industrial estates (desirable)
• Will be confident, an excellent communicator and possess strong listening skills (mandatory)
• Might have experience with marketing and be a dab hand at creating literature for the company social media platforms (desirable)
• Should be able to set personal KPIs and produce monthly reports to the operations team (desirable)
• Will be willing to take part in assisting the operations team with quotes, proposals and negotiations (mandatory)
